A director of a public enterprise in Delchevo is facing criminal charges for allegedly allowing employees to operate defective and unregistered vehicles, resulting in financial damage to the enterprise.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs Delchevo has filed a criminal complaint against S.S. (60) from Delchevo with the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Delchevo. The charges include “abuse of official position and authority” and “negligent performance of duties”.

The suspect, who is the director of JKP “Bregalnica”-Delchevo, is accused of repeatedly permitting employees to use official vehicles that were technically unsound and unregistered between July 31, 2024, and March 24, 2025. He allegedly knew or should have known about the vehicles’ condition.

Police inspections revealed that the vehicles had been unregistered for an extended period. Consequently, misdemeanor payment orders totaling 50,909 denars were issued, which the suspect paid.

S.S. is accused of causing 50,909 denars in damages to the public enterprise as a result of his actions.
