Construction Begins on New Kindergarten in Karposh Municipality

Karposh Municipality has initiated the construction of a new, modern facility for the “Majski Cvet” kindergarten in the Taftalidze 1 neighborhood, replacing the old structure. The project represents a significant investment aimed at providing a safe and উন্নত learning environment for the youngest residents.

Mayor of Karposh Municipality, Stevcho Jakimovski, announced that the new kindergarten will be an environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and earthquake-resistant building, adhering to all European standards. The 108 million denar investment (including VAT) will replace the existing sixty-year-old wooden structure.

The construction is expected to be completed within ninety days, with a bank guarantee in place, ensuring that children can return to the newly built kindergarten by autumn. The new facility will offer a more comfortable environment equipped with the necessary props and didactic materials for children’s psychophysical development.

Jakimovski also outlined further plans for improving kindergarten infrastructure in the municipality. These plans include the construction of four new classrooms in the “Prolet” kindergarten in the Vlae 1 neighborhood and a completely new facility for the “Prolet” kindergarten in the Kozle neighborhood (also known as “Prolet-Kanela”).

Future kindergarten projects are planned for the village of Zlokukjani and two new facilities in the Nerezi neighborhood, one for Macedonian children and one for Albanian children. These efforts aim to address the increasing number of residents in Karposh Municipality and ensure sufficient accommodation capacity for young children.

Mayor Jakimovski highlighted a critical issue concerning the lack of educators and caregivers in kindergartens, urging relevant institutions to address the staff deficit. He emphasized that the outflow of staff due to retirement, coupled with the absence of new employments, negatively impacts the quality of education and care provided to children.

In addition to kindergarten improvements, Mayor Jakimovski announced plans for the construction of two sports halls in the Municipality, further enhancing the sports opportunities for young people and residents of Karposh.
