Charity Concert to Support Victims to be Held by FAMES Institute and Roman Simović

A benefit concert to raise money for the families of victims of the tragic fire in a Kochani nightclub will be held on April 29 at the Macedonian Philharmonic. The “FAMES” institute is organizing the musical evening.

World-renowned violinist Roman Simović, concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra, will perform. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to a fund supporting the victims’ families and those injured in the fire that claimed more than 60 lives.

The concert will feature works by Beethoven, including Concerto for Violin and Symphony No. 7, conducted by Simović and performed by the “FAMES” institute orchestra. The event is in cooperation with the Red Cross of RSM, who will have voluntary donation points at the concert.

“FAMES” stated that music is a source of comfort and solidarity. The institute gratefully acknowledges Roman Simović for performing, putting his art at the service of humanity.

Roman Simović is a respected violinist with a solo and orchestral career. He has performed on stages such as the Barbican, Carnegie Hall, Rudolfinum, and Salle Pleyel and won international awards, performing under conductors such as Valery Gergiev and Antonio Papano. Simović plays a Stradivarius violin from 1709, on loan from Jonathan Moulds.

Tickets are available through mktickets.mk, with a limited number of places available.

The “FAMES” Institute, located in Skopje, is a center for orchestral recordings and music education in Europe. It offers programs and concerts for young musicians from around the world.
