A bear was freed from a poaching trap in the area between the villages of Ljubojno and Brajcino in the Municipality of Resen. The Regional Emergency Management Center Bitola received a report through the Single Emergency Number 112 regarding a trapped wild animal, suspected to be a bear due to loud roaring near the Brajcinska River bridge.

The EMC promptly informed Border Police Markova Noga, Police Station Resen, the Concessionaire – the hunting association, and other relevant entities.

Following the intervention of competent services from the Concessionaire – the Hunting Association, along with a veterinarian, representatives from NP “Pelister,” and police officers from the Ministry of the Interior, the bear was successfully sedated and safely released.
