The Alliance for Albanians (AA) will remain part of the “Vlen” coalition but will field its own separate list of candidates for councilors in the upcoming local elections. This decision was reached late last night during a meeting of the party leadership.

AA leader Arben Taravari emphasized that the party is not leaving the coalition. According to him, the decision to run independently for municipal councilors applies to all municipalities where Albanians are competing.

Taravari stated that it is unacceptable for a small group within “Vlen” to determine mayoral candidates without proper surveys and public opinion polls.

He clarified that AA will remain in the coalition unless they are excluded. In that case, the party will respond accordingly.

Regarding the mayoral candidates, Taravari said that no decision has been made yet.
