Alkaloid’s handball team secured a spot in the EHF European Cup semi-finals after defeating Romanian team Baia Mare with a score of 32:25 in the second leg, following a 31:31 draw in the first match, and will now face Runar from Norway for a place in the final.
In the first half, Alkaloid demonstrated strong performance, scoring 18 goals and establishing a six-goal lead.
The team maintained their lead in the second half to secure their qualification for the semi-finals.
Coach Kire Lazarov expressed his pride in the team’s achievement, highlighting the fact that a team composed primarily of young Macedonian players will compete in the semi-finals of a European competition.
Petkovski led the scoring with 7 goals, while goalkeeper Galevski made nine saves and scored two goals.
