The Alkaloid handball team achieved a historic milestone by qualifying for their first European semi-final after defeating Baia Mare in the EHF European Cup quarter-finals.
Alkaloid secured a 32:25 victory against the Romanian team in the return leg, played in Skopje’s Avtokomanda hall, resulting in a 63:56 aggregate score after the initial 31:31 draw in Romania.
The team’s accomplishment is even more remarkable considering they played both matches without key player Marko Mitev.
Throughout their eight EHF European Cup matches this season, the Macedonian team has recorded seven wins and one draw.
