The 59th MTF “Vojdan Chernodrinski” in Prilep will showcase nine plays in its official program and five in the independent program from June 6 to 13, under the motto “Laugh and Dare.” The festival’s artistic director, Ana Stojanoska, announced the program, highlighting the dominance of plays with a recognizable director’s stance and authentic theatrical production.
The Assembly of the festival also announced the winners of the Lifetime Achievement Awards: actors Sonja Mihajlova, Snezana Koneska-Rusi, and Goce Todorovski.
The official selection includes: “12,” “Pairs,” “Richard III,” “The Blind,” “Black Seed,” “The Tempest,” “Racin,” “All the Wonderful Things,” and “Par-Raspar.”
The independent program features: “Vampires,” “Snow,” “All the Most Beautiful Things,” “Kazabalkan,” and “La Magbet.”
An international jury, consisting of Nela Otasevic, Ivan Medenica, and Lilia Abadzhieva, will determine the festival awards.
This year, the festival will focus on three important theater figures from Prilep: Kiril Ristoski, Blagoja Spirkoski Dzumerko, and Blagoja Risteski Platnar. Additionally, the music award will be named after the late musician Filip Stevanovski. The program will also include a children’s zone, book promotions, and round table discussions.
