Precautionary Measures Ordered for Anti-Corruption Commission President Suspected of Leaking Information

The president of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC), Tatjana Dimitrovska, is now subject to precautionary measures following suspicions of divulging an official secret in the “Aditiv” case. These measures restrict her access to SCPC-related materials and activities.

A judge in Skopje ordered the measures, acting on a proposal from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which include a ban on specific work activities. This development follows Dimitrovska’s appearance before the Judge of Preliminary Procedure in the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Timcho Mutsunski, addressed the situation, clarifying that Dimitrovska’s diplomatic passport does not provide her with immunity and will not affect the ongoing investigation. He emphasized that the passport would be revoked upon cessation of her function.

Mutsunski also commented on the ethical implications, stating that Dimitrovska should resign for moral reasons, despite the presumption of innocence. He believes her resignation would protect the credibility of the other members of the commission.

It was revealed that Dimitrovska received a diplomatic passport last year, granting her expedited border crossings, while similar requests from other commission members were denied. This information surfaced amidst the current investigation.
