The Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) is prepared for all possible election scenarios, including both regular local elections and potential early parliamentary elections. This was announced by SDSM President Venko Filipche.

Preparations for the local elections are already underway within the party. Internal surveys are being conducted in several municipalities, and discussions are being held at various levels. The party plans to announce approximately a dozen mayoral candidates next week.

The SDSM-led coalition, which includes 14 to 15 parties, is expected to generally participate jointly in the local elections. Discussions regarding councilor lists have started, but the pace varies across municipalities, as some parties may choose to act independently in certain areas. However, the commitment to a joint coalition performance remains a priority.

Filipche also mentioned that initial discussions have begun with potential Albanian coalition partners.

SDSM remains open to dialogue with all political entities and is prepared to respond to any potential political developments in the near future.
