VMRO-DPMNE is demanding answers from Fatmir Bitiqi and SDS regarding the alleged theft of classified information from Bitiqi’s home. The party is questioning the nature of the stolen documents and how they came to be in Bitiqi’s possession.
Valentin Manasievski, a member of the VMRO-DPMNE Central Committee, raised concerns about the incident, pointing out that state officials are not authorized to remove classified documents from secure institutional locations. He questioned whether the documents were top state secrets and why Bitiqi was keeping them at his residence.
Manasievski urged SDSM to clarify whether removing classified information from institutions was a standard practice within the party during their time in power. He emphasized the need for both SDS and Bitiqi to promptly inform the authorities about the nature of the documents and whether their theft poses a threat to national security.
VMRO-DPMNE is also calling on the Public Prosecutor’s Office to launch an investigation into Bitiqi’s handling of classified information, stressing the importance of accountability in this matter.
