The Regulatory Commission for Energy, Water Services and Municipal Waste Management Services (RKE) in North Macedonia announced a slight decrease in the retail price of fuel oil, effective April 23, 2025. Other fuel prices, including gasoline and diesel, will remain unchanged.
The decision, made on April 22, 2025, results in an average reduction of 0.11% in petroleum product prices compared to the previous decision on April 14, 2025.
Specifically, the price of Fuel Oil M-1 NS is reduced by 0.212 denars/kg, bringing the new price to 36.780 denars/kg.
The maximum prices for other fuels from 00:01 on April 23, 2025 are:
- EUROSUPER BS – 95 gasoline: 71.50 denars/liter
- EUROSUPER BS – 98 gasoline: 73.50 denars/liter
- EURODIESEL BS (D-E V) diesel fuel: 64.00 denars/liter
- Extra Light Heating Oil 1 (EL-1): 64.00 denars/liter
While these are the maximum prices, wholesalers and retailers are permitted to set lower prices.
The RKE noted increases in the reference prices of petroleum products on the world market compared to the previous calculation: gasoline by 3.969%, diesel by 3.456%, extra light oil by 2.637%, and fuel oil by 2.133%. The exchange rate of the denar against the dollar decreased by 3.0273% during the same period.
