The Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) is demanding an immediate and transparent investigation into the role of the “Rubikon” security agency and the Ministry of Interior following a tragedy in Kochani where young people tragically lost their lives. The demand comes after shocking information was presented at a protest organized by the families of the deceased, information that DUI says has not yet been addressed by competent institutions.
The parents of the victims have publicly questioned the involvement of “Rubikon” and the Ministry of Interior, placing the ministry at the center of responsibility, according to DUI.
In a statement, DUI posed a series of direct questions to the relevant authorities, emphasizing that the public is awaiting answers. These questions include:
- Did “Rubikon” hold a valid operating license as a security agency?
- How many of its employees are licensed and what training do they possess?
- What other facilities or events has the agency secured?
- Was “Rubikon” subject to inspection, and if so, when? Who conducted the inspection and what were the results?
- Why did the police fail to intervene despite the presence of minors in the facility after midnight, the open sale and consumption of alcohol, the use of pyrotechnics, and the disruption of public order – all under the watch of “Rubikon”?
DUI stressed that these questions are not politically motivated but rather represent demands for basic institutional accountability. The party is calling for a detailed investigation into “Rubikon’s” role in the tragedy, its connections to state institutions, and the alleged failure of the Ministry of Interior to take appropriate action.
