Deputy Prime Minister Arben Fetai has launched a strong critique against DUI leader Ali Ahmeti, accusing him of hypocrisy and betrayal of Albanian interests. The heated exchange follows Ahmeti’s assessment that only Arben Taravari understands the humiliating position of Albanians within the government.
Fetai directly refuted Ahmeti’s claims, asserting he is “not anyone’s servant” and accusing Ahmeti of serving anti-Albanian forces. He challenged Ahmeti’s past actions and inactions, questioning his silence during critical moments affecting the Albanian community.
Fetai questioned Ahmeti’s response to the arrest of an Albanian mother and daughter falsely accused of terrorism, his silence on the killing of Albanian patriots, and his inaction when Albanians were attacked in the streets. He accused Ahmeti of embracing the VMRO-DPMNE agenda and betraying the interests of Albanians.
Fetai claimed Ahmeti allowed institutions to insult Albanians, accepted “Skopje 2014” as a national project, and overlooked census manipulations that led to the depopulation of Albanian regions. He stated that Ahmeti’s leadership has resulted in unprecedented humiliation, betrayal, and misery for Albanians.
According to Fetai, DUI’s tenure has only benefited a select few while the broader Albanian community continues to suffer. He concluded with a warning, suggesting that Ahmeti will soon face accountability for his actions and that Albanians will not forget or forgive his alleged transgressions.
