A 25-year-old man identified as V.S. from Rosoman was arrested early Saturday morning after crashing his car into a lamppost on “Strasho Pindzur” street in Kavadarci. Police determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

The incident occurred around 2:00 AM. V.S. was driving a “Mercedes” passenger vehicle with Kavadarci license plates when it veered off the road and collided with the lamppost.

Police officers from the Kavadarci Police Station conducted a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.59 per mille. The driver was immediately taken into custody.

V.S. was removed from traffic and detained at the Kavadarci police station. Authorities will file a criminal complaint against him under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code for “reckless driving” once the case is fully documented.
