Voska abandons match against Vardar due to disputed refereeing decisions

The First Macedonian Football League match between Voska and Vardar was abandoned in the 75th minute after the home team, Voska, walked off the field. The incident occurred following a controversial goal by Vardar’s Duranski in the 71st minute, which sparked outrage among Voska players and management.

Voska Sport has formally expressed its discontent to the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM), citing a series of biased refereeing decisions throughout the match. The club claims that these decisions created an uneven playing field from the start, negatively impacting the game’s flow and ultimately its outcome.

According to Voska, the referees consistently made questionable calls, resulting in unfair play, unwarranted warnings, and penalties against their players. The team felt compelled to withdraw from the match in the 76th minute as a means of safeguarding their players’ rights and upholding the integrity of the sport.

Voska Sport is urging the FFM to thoroughly investigate the disputed refereeing decisions and implement measures to prevent similar situations in the future. They are seeking assurance that a detailed review will be conducted to guarantee fair and equal play for all teams.

As a result of Voska’s abandonment, Vardar is expected to be awarded an official 3:0 victory. Furthermore, Voska is likely to face additional sanctions for leaving the field prematurely.
