Movement ZNAM has declared that it finds cooperation with the unreformed DUI party and individuals from SDSM involved in organized crime and corruption unacceptable. This stance raises questions about the future composition of the government and ZNAM’s potential role within it.
ZNAM spokesperson Nikola Memov clarified the party’s position, emphasizing that any collaboration, direct or indirect, with the unreformed DUI is a red line for ZNAM’s participation in any partnership.
When questioned about whether this stance would lead to a request for Arben Taravari’s removal from the government, Memov reiterated ZNAM’s firm opposition to any association with DUI. Regarding the “Vredi” coalition, Memov stated that while internal matters within “Vredi” are their own affair, ZNAM will reassess its position if the entire coalition continues to cooperate with DUI.
Memov acknowledged that the Alliance for Albanians, a part of the “Vredi” coalition, has admitted to having open communication with DUI. The spokesperson also confirmed that these developments are being discussed with the Prime Minister as part of ongoing government partnership discussions. All open issues are being addressed within the framework of this partnership.
Looking ahead, ZNAM plans to announce its strategy for the upcoming local elections next week.
