Siljanovska-Davkova emphasized tourism’s role in generating income and promoting the country’s assets. She highlighted Macedonia’s potential as a desirable tourist destination throughout the year, citing its natural beauty and historical significance.
Stefanoska briefed the President on the agency’s activities since its establishment in 2008, outlining its successes, failures, challenges, and current issues. She stressed the need for a comprehensive tourism development strategy that complements the nation’s cultural initiatives.
Both parties agreed that combining culture and tourism into one ministry represents a significant step forward in strategically developing both sectors. The President’s office stated that creating the necessary preconditions for tourism remains the responsibility of various ministries, local governments, and the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism.
