The Municipality of Centar recently conducted the “We Children Are Also Participants in Traffic” project at the “Dimitar Miladinov” Primary School, aiming to enhance students’ understanding of safe traffic participation through educational and practical exercises.

Mayor Goran Gerasimovski highlighted the municipality’s dedication to fostering a safer environment for children during the event.

The initiative involved municipal employees, technical and physical education teachers, and 24 students representing eight primary schools within the municipality. The students demonstrated their cycling abilities on a course designed by the technical education instructors.

Gerasimovski emphasized the importance of such projects, stating, “Through such projects, we not only learn, but also build responsible young participants in traffic. The event was an excellent example of how education and play can influence awareness of traffic culture among the youngest.” He further added that the Municipality of Centar will continue to organize similar events to improve the safety and education of young people in traffic.

The top-performing students were recognized for their achievements, with Dimitar Arsic from “Goce Delchev” Primary School securing first place, Damjan Chivchivistovski from “Kiro Gligorov” Primary School claiming second, and Tomi Todorovski, also from “Kiro Gligorov” Primary School, finishing third. Gerasimovski awarded the winners with diplomas and Mega Sport vouchers worth 12,000 denars, 9,000 denars, and 6,000 denars, respectively.
