A 35-year-old man from Kondovo is under investigation by the Skopje Public Prosecutor’s Office for illegally possessing a semi-automatic pistol, magazines, and ammunition, and for threatening a child and his father. The suspect allegedly used “WhatsApp” to convey the threats.

Prior to the threats, the man sent a video clip in February to the child’s phone, showing himself firing an automatic rifle at a wedding. The child saved the video.

On April 7, the suspect allegedly contacted the child, now using a different phone number, and threatened to kill him and his father if the automatic rifle footage was released. The Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that the call was made through the “WhatsApp” application.

The suspect allegedly called the child again several hours later, continuing the threats in a loud voice, causing the child to experience insecurity and fear. Authorities have requested detention for the suspect.
