During intensified traffic controls yesterday conducted by police officers across all eight sectors of the Public Security Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 1001 payment orders were issued for traffic violations, marking the highest number this month.
Statistical trends regarding legal provisions violated remain consistent with previous observations, with improper parking (241) and speeding (279) being the most common offenses. Notably, 178 violations were recorded involving pedestrians.
Additional violations included 84 drivers without a license, nine instances of driving under the influence, six cases of running a red light, and one fine issued to an electric scooter operator. Authorities also issued 39 penalties for not wearing a seat belt, one penalty for not wearing a protective helmet, and 34 payment orders for unauthorized cell phone use while driving.
Furthermore, 22 vehicles were removed from traffic, with 8 found to be technically defective and 14 unregistered.
