Valentin Manasievski, a member of the Central Committee of VMRO-DPMNE, has called for Venco Filipce’s resignation following allegations that he sought to profit from the procurement of COVID-19 vaccines through the “Stabri” affair, undermining his credibility. Manasievski claims Filipce attempted to secure Chinese vaccines through a company dealing in bananas and southern fruits at an inflated price of $62 per dose, while other nations were paying a maximum of $30.
The procurement of 200,000 vaccines through “Stabri” would have resulted in an overpayment of $6 million, according to Manasievski. He questions where this excess money was intended to go and suggests that “Stabri,” established shortly after SDS assumed power in 2017, may have connections to SDS and Filipce himself.
Manasievski asserts that only media and public pressure, along with the efforts of VMRO-DPMNE, prevented this alleged crime. He argues that the prevention of the act does not absolve Filipce of political accountability. Manasievski believes that this affair demonstrates a lack of credibility on the part of Venco Filipce.
