The Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) has voiced strong condemnation of the government’s decision to appoint Petar Bogoyevski as the head of the Agency for European Educational Funds, calling it a provocation and an affront to European values.

DUI argues that Bogoyevski’s history of insulting and disparaging Albanians makes his appointment particularly egregious, especially considering the agency’s mission to promote European values among young people. The party emphasizes the irony of Bogoyevski’s appointment, given that VLEN parties within the government had previously filed a criminal complaint against him. DUI views this appointment as a signal that insults against Albanians are not only tolerated but rewarded with state positions.

The party further contends that entrusting European funds to someone with a history of disparaging both Albanians and the European Union is disrespectful to European partners and EU taxpayers. DUI demands the immediate reversal of this decision, urging the government to restore seriousness to the processes of European integration, education, and coexistence.
