The Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) asserts that key questions regarding the Kochani tragedy remain unanswered, specifically regarding responsibility for the fire at “Puls” and related security failures.
SDSM notes the investigation into security failures on the night of the incident and preceding it has not expanded. They question why officials in positions at the time, within the Ministry of Interior, OVR Kochani, SVR Shtip, and BJB, have not been questioned or faced procedures.
The party insists on accountability at all levels, emphasizing that no individuals should be protected. They frame the issue as one of justice, trust, and dignity, arguing that citizens and victims’ families deserve to know the truth and who is responsible.
SDSM pledges to continue pushing for a complete, transparent, and non-selective investigation.
