Mansur Pajaziti Receives Two-Year Sentence for Fatal Traffic Incident

A court in Tetovo has sentenced Mansur Pajaziti to two years in prison for causing the death of 22-year-old Teodora Ristovska on a pedestrian crossing.

The victim’s sister, Eva Ristovska, expressed her grief and disbelief at the perceived leniency of the sentence. Inconsolable, she questioned the value placed on human life, suggesting that the punishment did not reflect the gravity of the crime.

Eva stated that while no sentence could bring her sister back, a more substantial punishment, specifically the maximum sentence of five years, would at least provide some solace and demonstrate that justice is attainable. She articulated her determination to seek a harsher penalty, driven by a desire for her sister to rest in peace, feeling that justice was served.

Eva challenged the notion that the family should be satisfied with such a short sentence, conveying her anguish and the difficulty of accepting the court’s decision. She emphasized that a longer sentence would not only ease their pain but also serve as a deterrent and a symbol of justice for others who might experience similar tragedies.
