No Government Reshuffle Planned Before Local Elections

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has stated that he does not plan to reshuffle the government before the local elections, despite recent discussions about potential disagreements within the “Vredi” coalition. When questioned by reporters, Mickoski gave a succinct “No” in response to the possibility of a reshuffle.

Regarding the relationship with “Vredi,” Mickoski described it as “Coalition, excellent.” This statement comes after Deputy Prime Minister Izet Mejiti’s earlier comments, where he said, “We will see, we will assess what the arguments are,” when asked about a possible reshuffle before the elections.

Discussions of a potential reshuffle arose due to disagreements among the leaders of the political parties within “Vredi” regarding their approach to the upcoming local elections. While three out of four leaders, including Mejiti, are in favor of a joint performance in the elections, Arben Taravari from the Alliance for Albanians, currently the Minister of Health, holds a different view.

Further disagreement exists concerning communication with DUI, which Taravari does not object to. Mejiti emphasized that Taravari should clarify his positions, as both “Vlen” and cooperation with DUI appear contradictory.
