Izet Mejiti, a coalition partner of Arben Taravari, believes Taravari needs to resolve his uncertainties.
While Mejiti assesses relations within the “Vlen” coalition as positive and notes communication between them, a disagreement exists.
Specifically, three of the four leaders within “Vlen” support a unified approach in the upcoming local elections, a view not shared by Taravari.
Mejiti highlighted ongoing discussions about merging all political entities within the coalition into a single “Vlen” party for the local elections.
He identified Taravari as the sole member harboring reservations and considering potential cooperation with DUI, suggesting inquiries be directed to him.
Mejiti emphasized the incompatibility of “Vlen” with cooperation with DUI, labeling it as unnatural.
The coalition’s strategy involves presenting unified candidates, lists, headquarters, a common program, and a shared platform for the elections.
Mejiti pointed out the advantage large parties have regarding lists, noting the majority system for electing mayors.
He questioned the logic of aligning with larger parties and then switching to smaller ones, as this would effectively benefit DUI.
Mejiti concluded by raising the question of whose interests such an approach would serve.
In response to a question about potential government reconstruction before the elections, Mejiti stated that they would evaluate the arguments for such a move.
