A member of Parliament is calling for the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate Sashko Mitovski, the SDS mayor of Kriva Palanka, for allegedly spreading panic regarding contaminated water.

VMRO-DPMNE MP Emil Spasovski stated at a press conference that Mitovski’s claims about cyanide levels in Kriva Palanka’s water supply being 100 times above the permitted level are false, citing the State Environmental Inspectorate’s findings.

Spasovski asserted that Mitovski’s manipulation failed and demanded an apology to the residents of Kriva Palanka and the entire country for the collective panic caused by the mayor’s actions.

The MP condemned the mayor’s alleged prioritization of petty political points over public well-being, insisting that Kriva Palanka and Macedonia should not be held hostage by Mitovski and the SDS.

Spasovski emphasized the need for accountability and urged the Public Prosecutor’s Office to take action and sanction Mayor Mitovski for spreading panic.
