Due to snowfall, mandatory winter equipment is required on the Tetovo – Popova Shapka road, and traffic restrictions for heavy goods vehicles are in effect on multiple routes.
Starting at 6:00 PM, all vehicles on the Tetovo – Popova Shapka road must use winter equipment, such as chains.
Additionally, heavy goods vehicles are banned from the Gostivar – Kichevo road via Straza, the Mavrovo – Debar road, the Bitola – Resen road via Gjato, and the Resen – Ohrid road via Bukovo.
As of today, the restrictions began at 3:25 PM for the Gostivar – Kichevo and Mavrovo – Debar routes, 4:20 PM for the Bitola – Resen route, and 5:00 PM for the Resen – Ohrid route.
Traffic on state roads is generally moving on wet surfaces, with some slushy snow in higher elevations of the western and southwestern regions, with road maintenance crews working to clear the roads.
