Hristijan Mickoski Emphasizes Unity and Family Values

Hristijan Mickoski, the Prime Minister and President of VMRO-DPMNE, addressed young people and citizens of all ethnic backgrounds at an event celebrating the 34th anniversary of the Union of Young Forces (UMS). He stressed the importance of unity for strength and the significance of family as a core value for the nation’s future.

Mickoski highlighted his recent visit to Tetovo, where a new boulevard opening was attended by a diverse group of young people from various ethnic communities. He emphasized that solidarity makes the country resilient against external threats, while division makes it vulnerable.

He also underscored the vital role of young people as leaders, exemplified by the UMS, which has shaped many prominent figures in Macedonian politics. He noted that numerous individuals who began their careers in the UMS now hold key positions in government and local administration, steering the nation’s progress.

Mickoski acknowledged the appeal of enjoying youth and personal freedom, but he urged young people to recognize the enduring importance of family. He stated that family is a crucial value to be passed down through generations and modern patriotism includes love for Macedonia and commitment to its future. He emphasized that the future of Macedonia and its people depends on the strength of the family unit.

Mickoski cited recent legislative changes in education that prioritize the family as a fundamental value. He explained that these changes replace gender policies and promote a traditional family structure in educational materials, emphasizing the importance of family in shaping a stronger and more prosperous nation.
