A delegation from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s Standing Committee visited the “Ilinden” barracks in Skopje today, accompanied by Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski.
The delegation observed Army demonstration exercises, highlighting the troops’ training in complex scenarios.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, along with Army generals and senior officials from the Ministry of Defense and the Army, welcomed the delegation.
General Lafchiski emphasized that membership in the Alliance is the result of decades of effort and that the future is built on collective defense, solidarity, and cooperation.
The delegation received a briefing in the Army Hall on the development of the Macedonian Army and defense capabilities.
