Guler Erdogan, a 27-year-old former Miss Balkans, died after falling from an overpass while running from a police checkpoint. Authorities determined she was intoxicated.

The incident occurred on the night of April 1, according to reports. Erdogan exited her vehicle and fled on foot after police discovered she was under the influence of alcohol during the checkpoint.

While attempting to escape, she climbed onto an overpass but fell onto the road below, sustaining critical injuries. Subsequently, another vehicle struck her.

Emergency medical teams responded to the scene following a report from a passerby. Upon examination, they pronounced Erdogan dead. Reports indicate that Erdogan had a history of mental health issues. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death is underway.
