The Ministry of Interior, under the leadership of Panche Toshkovski, is facing accusations of creating chaos and threatening security on Macedonian streets, according to SDSM spokesperson Bogdanka Kuzeska.
Kuzeska highlighted a recent incident in Debar Maalo where bodyguards of government officials allegedly misused their authority. Two police officers, responsible for the President’s security, falsely claimed that Srdjan Kerim’s improperly parked “Porsche” was an official vehicle and attempted to prevent it from being towed. Kuzeska stated that disciplinary procedures were initiated only after public outcry.
Kuzeska also emphasized a series of scandals involving bodyguards of high-ranking state officials over the past nine months. These incidents include the leaking of state secrets, attacks on police officers, and the brandishing of a weapon at the Skopje airport. She asserted that these are not isolated incidents but indicative of a systemic failure within the security apparatus.
Kuzeska concluded by questioning the functionality of the security apparatus and the potential connections between government officials and criminal elements. She called for accountability, beginning with Minister Panche Toshkovski.
