Aleksandar Karadakoski, a patient severely injured in the Kochani fire, has died in Lithuania where he was receiving treatment for burns covering 40 percent of his body.
Health Minister Arben Taravari announced Karadakoski’s death, noting he was the most critical of the four patients sent to Lithuania. His kidneys had failed, requiring dialysis, and a significant infection developed due to the extensive wounds.
Minister Taravari expressed hope for the recovery of the remaining patients, reporting that out of 77 patients currently receiving treatment abroad, 15 are intubated, while the others are breathing independently.
