The Ministry of the Interior reports that the driver involved in the moped accident that injured a child and resulted in the driver fleeing the scene has been located and will face criminal charges. Police officers from the Skopje police department identified the driver as Ch.T. (63) from Skopje, following the incident that occurred on February 4, 2025, at 2:05 p.m. at the intersection of “Ferid Bajram” street and “Alpi” street in Skopje. The eight-year-old child who was struck by the moped was treated for bodily injuries at the “St. Naum Ohridski” General Hospital. A criminal complaint will be filed against Ch.T. according to Article 297 of the Criminal Code for endangering traffic safety, Article 297A of the Criminal Code for reckless driving, and Article 301 of the Criminal Code for failure to provide assistance to a person injured in a traffic accident, in a fast procedure.
