MP Borislav Krmov announced an initiative for an Oversight Hearing regarding the Kočani tragedy to address omissions and determine responsibility.

Krmov emphasized the moral responsibility of MPs, particularly those from Electoral District 3, to investigate the national catastrophe in Kočani. He stated the need to act swiftly and identify failures within state administration bodies, along with responsible individuals.

The debate is proposed for the Inquiry Commission for the freedoms and rights of the citizen, led by Dimitar Apasiev, but Krmov expressed openness to holding it in any suitable commission. He mentioned the requirement of a minimum of 15 signatures to open up space for a commission.

Krmov criticized the media arguments between VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM regarding oversight or inquiry, stressing the urgency to act instead of engaging in debates.
