The 8th annual Jazz Factory Festival will take place from April 17th to 19th, featuring performances by established jazz musicians from Macedonia and other countries at the National Theater and the Bitola Cultural Center.
Teodor Janevski, a jazz drumming graduate from the Music Academy at Goce Delchev University in Stip, will receive the “Goce Dimitrovski” award for the best young jazz musician of 2024. The award ceremony, a collaboration with the Municipality of Bitola, is scheduled for April 19, 2025, at 8 p.m. at the National Theater of Bitola.
Jazz Factory Festival director, Professor Sasho Popovski, extended congratulations to Teodor Janevski and wished him well in his future career. Past recipients of the award include Aleksandar Vanchovski (drums, 2020), Filip Dinev (guitar, 2021), Aleksandar Boshkov (guitar, 2022), Jovan Cvetkovic (piano, 2023), David Skerlevski (piano, 2024), and Teodor Janevski (drums, 2025).
Each year, the festival presents nine concerts and five related events at venues such as the National Theater Bitola, the Cultural Center, and various local clubs and cultural spaces, drawing an audience of over 2000 people.
