Markova River Flooding Causes Damage in Gorno Lisice

The Markova River overflowed following heavy rains, flooding parts of Gorno Lisice.

The Municipality of Aerodrom immediately engaged machinery to drain the riverbed and protect homes from further flooding. Acting Mayor Dejan Miteski contacted the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, the Ministry of Interior, and AD Vodostopanstvo, all of whom took preventive measures to protect homes near the river. Teams are monitoring the situation on the ground.

While no homes were damaged, some warehouses, agricultural facilities, and fields in Gorno Lisice were flooded.

The Municipality of Aerodrom is asking residents with property in the flooded area to report any material damage by submitting a completed form to the Archive of the Municipality of Aerodrom or to the Urban Community in Gorno Lisice, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on working days.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 14.
