Interpol Workshop on Silver Notices Held in Skopje

An Interpol workshop on silver notices commenced today in Skopje, focusing on combating organized crime through international cooperation.

The workshop, held on April 2 and 3, 2025, involves 60 public prosecutors, police officers, and financial institution representatives from European countries and the USA. They will discuss the implementation of Interpol’s new tool for locating and identifying criminally acquired property abroad. This tool aims to strengthen international police cooperation.

The return of criminally acquired property is crucial in combating crime and corruption, disrupting criminal networks, and bolstering public trust. Recovering these assets targets the financial motives behind criminal activity and provides resources for strengthening legal systems.

The nation actively contributes to the pilot phase for issuing silver notices, maintaining close coordination between law enforcement services. It is also part of the Interpol expert working group on silver notices.
