Vardar River Level Rises in Veles but Remains Below Flood Stage

The Vardar River’s water level in Veles, measured near the Old Bridge, has reached 160 centimeters due to recent heavy rainfall, doubling its level from a week ago. However, the river remains below the critical flood stage of 250 centimeters, according to Atanas Ugrinski from UHMK.

The river level has increased by 22 centimeters in the past two days, rising from 152 centimeters yesterday and 138 centimeters on Sunday.

For context, the Vardar’s level was 88 centimeters on March 26 and 86 centimeters on March 27, indicating a significant rise to today’s 160 centimeters.

The average water level for the Vardar River in Veles during April is 111 centimeters.
