The NSDP (New Social Democratic Party) has issued a strong critique of VMRO-DPMNE’s first year in power, asserting that the ruling party has failed to deliver on its promises and has led the country into a state of political stalemate and stagnation. According to the NSDP, the government, a coalition of VMRO-DPMNE, VLEN, and ZNAM, represents the worst start for any government since the country’s independence.

The NSDP contends that the government has betrayed the expectations of citizens by failing to implement announced reforms and lacking clear ideas. They accuse the government of lacking a clear path for EU integration, economic stagnation, and failing to address the high cost of living for citizens.

The party states that VMRO-DPMNE functions best in a “captured and isolated state,” suggesting a return to pre-2017 conditions.

The NSDP also claims that the government has abandoned workers, neglecting their living standards and failing to engage in meaningful dialogue with unions. They allege that while prices are rising, citizens and companies are left to manage the economic situation without support.

Furthermore, the NSDP criticizes the government’s accumulation of debt, which they claim is used to finance the luxuries of government officials, the expansion of ministries, and the appointment of party staff. They also allege that tenders are being awarded to companies and individuals with close ties to the ruling structure.

The party accuses the government of exerting unprecedented pressure on public administration employees, including dismissals and illegal transfers, to make way for party-approved staff with questionable qualifications.

Finally, the NSDP criticizes the vocabulary used by Prime Minister Mickoski in public appearances, deeming it beneath any political level and indicative of arrogance and disrespect.
