More than 6,000 people have applied for a self-employment initiative, according to Deputy Minister of Economy and Labor Marjan Risteski, who expressed his satisfaction with the high level of interest. He also announced a new measure that went into effect yesterday, providing direct assistance to companies.
The measure, called “Support for the Creation of New Jobs,” aims to promote employment and growth within legal entities, offering assistance in creating new positions in micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, social enterprises, and civil organizations.
Under this initiative, companies can receive grants ranging from 160,000 to 220,000 denars for employing unemployed individuals, with the grant amount varying based on the target group. Employers who participate are required to maintain the new employee’s position for a period of 9 to 15 months, depending on the target demographic.
The mayors of Radovish, Atso Ristov, Konche, Zlatko Ristov, and Gevgelija, Andon Saramandov, have all voiced their support for the Operational Employment Plan measures and have noted the strong interest in self-employment within their respective municipalities.
Interested employers are encouraged to learn more about the public call for “Employment and Growth of Legal Entities” at any of the 30 regional employment centers of the Employment Service Agency (AVRM) and to submit their applications by July 4, 2025, to take advantage of the available benefits.
