A summer traffic regime is in effect on Macedonian state roads from July 1st to August 31st, restricting the movement of heavy goods vehicles exceeding 15 tons. The restrictions apply during weekends and periods of extremely high temperatures, according to AMSM.
Specific timeframes for the restrictions are Friday from 17:00 to 22:00, Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00, and Sunday from 09:00 to 22:00.
On the A2 highway section between Skopje and Ohrid (valid until September 1st), heavy goods vehicles exceeding 7.5 tons are prohibited during weekends. The restricted times are Friday from 15:00 to 22:00, Saturday from 07:00 to 12:00 and 18:00 to 24:00, and Sunday from 07:00 to 22:00.
Currently, traffic on state roads is flowing smoothly on dry roads. The intensity of traffic outside urban areas is moderate, and there are no delays at border crossings on the Macedonian side for entering or exiting the country.
