SDSM MP Mile Taleski has asserted that his party completed the majority of the express road through the Farish Gorge, specifically the section from Drenovo to Gradsko. This statement comes in response to alleged attempts by VMRO-DPMNE to take credit for the project’s completion.
Taleski emphasized that over 90% of the 10.2-kilometer section, valued at over 33 million euros, was accomplished during SDSM’s term. He highlighted the significance of this infrastructure for Prilep and the entire Pelagonija region, noting its impact on the economy, transport, and regional security.
During the SDSM mandate, both tunnels, costing around 6 million euros, were fully completed. Additionally, 95% of the route was asphalted, and key structural components were erected, including 21 bridges, 11 retaining walls, 15 culverts, a viaduct, and a gallery.
Taleski criticized the current VMRO-DPMNE government, questioning their contribution to the project. He stated that they only completed a small portion, repaired a landslide, installed 10 meters of concrete, and worked on signaling and fencing. He accused them of taking credit for work done by others.
Despite the political tensions, Taleski acknowledged the road’s completion and its availability to the public. He also mentioned other infrastructure projects initiated during SDSM’s time, such as the Gradsko-Drenovo express road, the renovation of the section near Pletvar, the road to the lake near Prilep, and the start of the Prilep-Bitola highway as part of Corridor 10d.
