Special Traffic Regime in Skopje Due to Western Balkan Leaders’ Meeting

A special traffic regime will be in effect in Skopje on Monday, June 30, and Tuesday, July 1, due to the meeting of Western Balkan leaders. The Sector for Internal Affairs Skopje (SIA Skopje) has announced the implementation of these measures.

The traffic changes will affect the wider central area of the city. Certain streets and boulevards will be closed at various times, depending on the movement of the visiting delegations.

Law enforcement is emphasizing the importance of public cooperation during this period. Citizens are urged to show understanding and patience. Police officers will be stationed at key locations to manage traffic flow and direct vehicles along alternative routes.

Traffic participants are advised to strictly adhere to the instructions and signage provided by uniformed police officers. This will help to prevent additional congestion and disruptions.

Information regarding road closures and available alternative routes will be disseminated through media outlets and social networks. Drivers are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and allow for extra travel time.

Residents and workers in the central city area are strongly encouraged to utilize public transportation or alternative modes of transport during the two-day period. This will assist in minimizing traffic congestion and ensuring smoother traffic circulation throughout the city.
