VMRO-DPMNE has accused SDSM of spreading falsehoods regarding a fire that occurred in Chucher Sandevo. The political party defended its response to the blaze, contrasting it with SDSM’s alleged inaction during their seven years in power.
VMRO-DPMNE claims that instead of investing in fire-fighting equipment and modernization, SDSM focused on manipulating tenders for personal gain. VMRO-DPMNE asserts that, unlike in the past, the current administration reacts swiftly to fire emergencies.
The party highlighted the deployment of 38 vehicles for extinguishing fires and the acquisition of a specialized intervention fire brigade equipped with 50 vehicles designed for challenging terrains.
According to VMRO-DPMNE, the government repurposed army and police vehicles to increase firefighting capacity, resulting in significant savings and enhanced capabilities. Additionally, two police and army helicopters are on standby for larger fires. The party also mentioned a plan to employ 400 unemployed individuals as seasonal firefighters, each receiving 400 euros. VMRO-DPMNE assures that its plan will protect the country’s forests.
