The “At Sunset” event begins in Trpejca on Sunday

The 14th annual “At Sunset” cultural and entertainment event will be held in Trpejca from July 20th to 28th, promising a rich program for both tourists and locals. The event is organized by the “For Trpejca with Love” Association.

The festival kicks off on Sunday at 8:30 PM with a welcoming speech by a representative of the Ohrid municipality, the event’s patron. Following the speech, the “Ohrid” Photo Club will present its latest photography collection, “Beauty Within Reach,” accompanied by a musical performance by saxophonist Goran Papaz.

On Monday, July 21st, at 8:30 PM, Anastasia Risteska, a young author from Trpejca, will present her first novel, “Parisian Jigsaw Puzzle,” written in English. Dr. Gabriela Nedelkoska will serve as the promoter for the book. Prior to the book launch, children from Trpejca will showcase their talents.

Film will be highlighted on Tuesday, July 22nd, with a screening of Antonio Veljanoski’s film “I(s)zgubeni” (Lost) under the open sky. Veljanoski is a young director, screenwriter, and photographer based in Ohrid and Prague.

Wednesday’s program features the popular Suitcase Race at 7:30 PM on the Trpejca staircase, followed by a performance by Mila, Makedonka, and Biljana, recent graduates of the Faculty of Music in Skopje.

The “Cvet” Drama Studio, led by Dragana Boceska, will present the play “Stories” on Thursday. Before the performance, the top three mobile phone photographs of Trpejca taken by tourists will be displayed and awarded.

Friday will be dedicated to the promotion of the monograph “The Golden Years of KK “Ribar” from Trpejca” by M.Sc. Milcho Jovanoski, with journalist and publicist Goran Momiroski acting as the promoter. In the morning, the traditional “Nomche Mitreski” regatta will take place.

The festival continues on Saturday, July 26th, with the Theater Project of OSU “St. Kliment Ohridski” from Ohrid presenting “The Violin that Echoes Through the Centuries” by M.Sc. Mihail Patchev, and a screening of the documentary “The Ohrid Troubadours.”
