A 20-year-old man from Tetovo, identified as R.R., was arrested yesterday at 2 PM by police officers from the Tetovo Sector for Internal Affairs (SVR) on suspicion of blackmailing a minor from the Tetovo area.

The arrest followed a report made to the Tetovo SVR around 12 PM by a 45-year-old woman and her minor daughter, residents of a village near Tetovo. The complaint alleged that R.R. had been blackmailing the minor, with whom he had been in a romantic relationship for three years.

Throughout 2025, R.R. allegedly demanded money from the minor, threatening to publish her explicit photos on social media if she did not comply.

The complainant stated that she gave him a total of 800 euros on two separate occasions. Despite receiving the money, the blackmail continued, leading to the report and subsequent arrest.

R.R. is currently being held in police custody. After the case is fully documented, a criminal complaint will be filed against him in accordance with Article 259 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
