Ten-Year Sentence Demanded for Amsterdam Man Accused of Drugging and Abusing Teenage Boys

An Amsterdam man faces a potential ten-year prison sentence followed by compulsory psychiatric treatment after being accused of drugging and sexually abusing teenage boys. The 43-year-old is alleged to have targeted boys aged 13 to 16 through dating applications over an eight-year period.

The public prosecution department stated that the man allegedly contacted the teenagers via dating apps, showered them with gifts, alcohol, and drugs before abusing them. He also faces charges related to spreading child pornography and drug possession.

Prosecutors highlighted that the man preyed on youngsters struggling with their sexuality, luring them with parties, presents, and alcohol. The public prosecutor emphasized the high price the victims paid, as the suspect subtly manipulated them towards sex without boundaries.

Authorities discovered a disturbing collection of evidence on the suspect’s computer, including 4,500 images, with 2,600 identified as related to the abused youngsters. According to the prosecutor, the man recorded many of the attacks and shared them with others.

The prosecutor expressed the difficulty in fully addressing the extensive harm inflicted on the boys and young men, who now grapple with trauma resulting from their terrible experiences. The prosecutor emphasized that the crimes were committed solely to satisfy the suspect’s sexual urges.

The case serves as a stark reminder of the risks associated with dating apps, especially when vulnerable youngsters are targeted by adults. The court is scheduled to deliver its ruling on July 8.
