She maintains a close relationship with her father, stepmother, and their two children, whom she considers her siblings. Despite living separately, she cherishes her bond with her younger sister, engaging in activities together and sharing confidences. She also has a close relationship with her mother, who has recently started a new chapter by buying a house in the same neighborhood after selling the family home where Mara grew up.

Professionally, Van der Rol works in customer service at FBTO and recently launched her own clothing webshop. She aims to become a successful entrepreneur, drawing inspiration and support from her family’s entrepreneurial background. Although balancing her job with the demands of her webshop is challenging, she is determined to make it a success.
